Happy 2008 Pics!

Ringing in the New Year at the BH with the Sneathens!

Another year is in the books, but not before we got to give it a fond farewell up at the Brown House with the Sneathens. There was lots of sledding done by all. Even Daniel got up the nerve to give it a few runs. The rest of the time was spent building lego structures and playing games. We got a new game as a present from the Utley's called, "Would You Rather..." The idea is that you are presented with 2 not so great choices in life and you HAVE to pick one. It was quite fun and once again Shel and Dan answered almost every question identically while Todd and I were their polar opposites. Too funny. All in all, we had a great couple of days hanging out and having fun. It almost made the drive back to Berkley bareable despite driving in a white out from about Saginaw on. Ugh!

Happy New Year!

Ice Fishing Catches!

Christmas Vacation and the Utleys!

After a wonderful Christmas, we headed up to the BH on Dec. 27th to finish off our vacation. We knew chances were good that we wouldn't be able to drive down the driveway, but somehow that didn't stop us from packing, oh, I don't know, 942 loades to carry down the steep hill! The good news was there was tons of snow and the lake was already frozen! So it didn't take long before the sledding, skating and ice fishing began!

Matt and the boys arrived in the afternoon with their Wii in hand! It was pretty clear from the get go that some kind of snow banks needed to be built up on the driveway for safety. Dan and Matt got to it and made a pretty cool track. The boys spent alot of time flying down it over and over again.

The big boys went into town on day 2 and got all the gear to ice fish. We got a little bit in before the big snow hit (read a complete white out) and caught a couple of big pikes! The ice patch we cleared to skate on got filled back in really quickly, but not before Dan got to lace up his skates and do some stick handling. The smile on his face to be out on the icy sheet was priceless!

The kids got to trek all around the ice and walked out to Ewok Island exploring. Then the 4 of them pulled in a few pikes, too. All in all, it was a wonderful wintery fun filled visit!
